The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted raids at the premises of its own SP and seized cash Rs 5 lakh and 3 mobile phones in connection with its probe into the alleged role of an ex-ADC of Governor Nirvikar Singh.

The agency had registered an FIR against Singh last month when he was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 15 lakh in the name of a CBI officer from a businessman.
Major Nirvikar Singh was the former ADC of the former Punjab Governor, General SF Rodrigues and had remained on coveted positions in Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW).
